In September Ms Hennessy’s First Class were learning about mini-beasts. The children went on a ‘mini-beast hunt’ around the school grounds in search of different insects.
In October, the boys and girls took part in some outdoor learning. The children constructed their names and ages using only natural materials that they had collected. They were also challenged to create a ‘nest’ from natural materials, using only one hand. The children loved this task and some of the finished products were quite impressive!
The children were also learning about 2D shapes. They had great fun trying to make the shapes with their bodies!
