What a wonderful day we had on Friday, 2nd of February! Hundreds of happy, smiling grandparents arrived for our Grandparents Assembly and class visits. We wanted to show our appreciation for all the wonderful ways grandparents help our students and for the joy they bring to all our lives. There was great excitement among our students, who were very eager to show off our lovely school to their extended family members. Everyone gathered in a packed Halla for some performances by our choir and Ms Kennedy’s class. A number of students also read some very touching poems about grandparents and a few tears of joy and pride were shed! Then our Sixth Class ambassadors led each group to the classrooms, where there was more fun and excitement. One granddad even performed some magic tricks for Mr. Campbell’s class! We’re already looking forward to next year’s Grandparents Day.
