A student from Ms Hughes 5th Class won a judges commendation for Junior Painter of the Year Competition.
Our class took part in the project and we got word from the judges that one of our student’s painting was “singled out for a Judge’s Commendation for demonstrating fantastic artistic ability and illustrating a remarkable insight into the need to promote the social inclusion of persons with disabilities”. She received a certificate at a ceremony which featured an exhibition of the student’s artwork which took place in the Science Gallery, Trinity College Dublin. The exhibition will be displayed in every library in Ireland throughout the next year. Also, the class won a visit from the Junior Painter Team.
