World Book Day

World Book Day is on next Thursday 7th March and it is a day to celebrate reading and books.

In school the children will be celebrating World Book all through the week and in the weeks to come. Children will be taking part in quizzes, competitions, reading to each other, visiting bookshops and much, much more.

Parents please check your child’s bag for important notes in the coming weeks.

First and Second Classes are dressing up as book characters on Friday 8th March so parents please help make this a great success by helping your child create a costume for that day.

The World Book Day tokens will be distributed on Friday Ist March  …please go to worldbookday.com to explore the “free” books and bring your child along to Easons to pick up their free book.

There is a wonderful competition for home called The Reading Challenge and would we be delighted if all parents would encourage their children to take part.

Check out worldbookday.com for ideas, games, competitions, popular books, free books and much more.
