Our 2nd Classes had a memorable trip to Faughart to see St. Brigid’s Shrine. The children got to visit all the holy sites and learn the stories and legends of our patron saint. They got to touch the eye stone, the waist stone and the knee stone and learn of the healing associated with the shrine. Everyone enjoyed the lovely views of Co. Louth from Faughart and they spotted local places like The Irish Sea, Ravensdale and the Cooley mountains. We even saw as far away as Blackrock beach.
We are so lucky that this beautiful place is on our door step and we look forward to visiting it again in the future.
