The children in the Language Class had lots of fun supporting this year’s World Development Language Disorder Awareness Day (DLD day) on Friday 14th October 2022.
‘Developmental Language Disorder’ can affect 1 in 14 people and can cause difficulties understanding and using language.
The official DLD awareness colours are purple and yellow and the boys created lovely purple and yellow themed artwork.
We also had lots of fun throwing, catching, balancing and playing with purple and yellow balloons in our PE lesson.
Colouring pages were distributed around the school and the teachers participated in a DLD quiz and Ms. Fallon (Senior Infants) was the winner of the quiz.
