Mrs. Nelson’s Scientists

 

Mrs Nelson’s 5^th class have been very busy!

They had the wonderful opportunity to take part in a science project designed to extract Banana DNA from banana cells.

The class first explored what cells are and discovered that inside the cell nucleus is the DNA.

The children were given all the necessary scientific equipment to begin the experiment. A

fter following the procedures carefully the children were able to extract and examine the DNA.

It was a wonderful experience for the children and demonstrated to us all that anyone can be a SCIENTIST!
