As part of St. Joseph’s N.S. Science Week in November Ms. Mac Guinness’ 4th Class enjoyed a visit to Dundalk Library to take part in the How to Build an Ironman Suit workshop.
The workshop was presented by Dr Barry Fitzgerald. Barry explained the science and engineering behind our favourite superheroes and their super powers.
We learned about devices that help people to lift heavy weights and how to engineer an invisibility cloak.
Some lucky students didn’t leave empty handed and won copies of Barry’s books “Secrets of Santa Claus”.
A big thank you to Mrs. Nelson for organising a great day out for us!
