September 2022 marked an incredibly exciting day  in the history of St. Joseph’s N.S. We  were delighted to open our special class ‘Willow’ for our pupils with a diagnosis of Autism. Willow is centrally located within our school with an amazing sensory room which pupils get to explore and enjoy every single day!

In keeping with the ethos of “nurturing excellence in education” each pupil will have an individualised education plan. We believe in helping each pupil bloom with their own unique talents and develop their individual interests through personallised learning adventures.

Parents are an integral part of this learning journey. Communication is key and through a combination of daily diaries and regular parent teacher conferences we aim to include parents in all aspects of school life.

Each child will be supported in a class of 6 pupils, one teacher and 2 special needs assistants. Our Willow pupils will also get to join in the fun with mainstream classes whenever its just right for them, and they’ll be participating in all sorts of cool whole-school events and activities.!

We’re on a mission to help every child discover a world of new skills and talents, using all sorts of creative and engaging ways to learn. Every single member of the willow team is dedicated to making sure your child experiences a truly meaningful,  magical, and wonderfully education journey right here with us!

We endeavour to enable each child to develop a range of new skills by employing a variety
of methodologies, each member of the Willow team is committed to providing a meaningful and magical educational experience for all pupils within our care.
